Checking Image Resolution

Please be aware: photos below 800kb are usually too small to use.
Any photo below 500kb we cannot use. 

PC

To check multiple images at once:

  • Navigate to the folder that you have saved the photos in and open the folder
  • You should now see in the finder window all the file sizes for each individual item in the folder
  • If you cannot – click the ‘List View Icon’ in the bottom right-hand corner

To check a single image:

  • Navigate to the image that you would like to check
  • Right click on the images and select ‘Properties’ 
  • The file size is displayed

MAC

To check multiple images at once:

  • Navigate to the folder that you have saved the photos in and open the folder
  • In Finder, go to ‘View’ in the menu bar and select ‘as List’.
  • Also, select 'Show View Options’ and make sure ‘Size’ is ticked
  • In the finder window, you can now see all the file sizes for each individual item in the folder

To check a single image:
  • Navigate to the image that you would like to check and select by clicking once
  • In Finder, go to ‘File’ in the menu bar and select ‘Get Info’
  • The file size is displayed under ‘General’
