Image clear-cutting (Click-to-Clip)

Click-to-Clip

Here's a great tool to help you edit your photos in a more refined way.  You've got a photo that you'd love to use, but it's cluttered with a background that you don't want.  This isn't an easy task to accomplish sometimes especially for those who don't have software(s) like Adobe Photoshop installed on their computer.  Now here's a great way for all to knock out that unwanted background and get the isolated image you want.
What was once a complex tool that requires expensive software is now something anyone with a browser can do in seconds.

Easily remove the background from your photos to create masks, cutouts, or clipping paths, all done instantly with the Click-to-Clip feature.

Step 1: Place the image on your page that you wish to clip, and select the "Clip photo" button that appears once you select the image

Please note:  If you clip a photo using Click-to-Clip, the new clipped image will replace the one with the background.  If you need to use the image again in the book, or aren't sure if you want to keep the clipped image, download the image and make a copy of it first.  This way you can use the un-clipped image if you wish.

Step 2: Selecting your foreground and background to clip your image

You use the markers on the left instance of the image.  Simply use the red marker to mark sections you want to remove and use the green marker to mark sections that you want included in the image.  The eraser marker can be used to remove the green and red sections that you have marked.  The yellow line represents the outline of your image that you are clipping from the background.  These are the spots you have used the markers on. In order to better refine the boundaries of your image, you can opt to use the Refine menu from the top row of buttons.  By default, it is set to automatic but if you wish to refine the edges manually, you can do that as well.

Step 3: Tweaking your image

You can use more advanced edits in the bottom row of tool bars, such as putting a feather around your selection to make the edge softer, and fine tuning the hair.
