Create/Insert Text Styles
Customise your text using the "Text Styles" feature. This is a new text style feature that will be released into the EDOnline 7.0 soon. Similar to using a word processing application you can create settings for your text and save them to be used on your yearbook pages. Click the "T" to open the popup feature to begin.
When you click the Insert Text button you should see a popup appear with 3 default text styles available for your immediate use for body text, headlines, and captions.
- Default Body Text (Arial Regular, 16)
- Default Headline Text (Arial Bold, 52)
- Default Caption Text (Arial Italic, 12)
Select a Text Style and the quick drop feature will activate. Your style will highlight in green and click on your page to place your new text box with your saved style.
Create A New Text Style
Select your text box on your page to activate your text options. You will see a new button to "Save Text Styles". This appears just after the "Edit Text Mode" button. Create your new text style, then click the button to save. For this example; the font 'Roboto' was used in italics with a point size 12 and paragraph settings, align-left.
Name your text style (ie: School Body Text Style) Then click the "Create New Style" button.
Your new text style will appear at the top of your list for later use.
Applying Text Styles To Your Pages
To begin using your text style open a page you wish to apply the style you've created to your text. Select your text box then click on the "T" to open your text styles. With your text box selected hover your mouse over your text style and click the "Apply to Text Frames" button and your text box will automatically update.
If you wish to make edits to your text style; click the "Edit" button to make your changes. You can update or create a new text style from here.
