Text
Supply text as DOC, DOCX, or RTF format.
Grammar and Spelling
It is your responsibility to ensure that the text supplied is correct and accurate. YOLO does include complimentary software Grammarly to assist you with this and also perform a spot check – but we do not guarantee to spot all errors and do not accept liability for any text supplied to us that is incorrect.
Photos and Logos
Supply photos and logos as JPEG, TIFF, PDF, PSD, PNG, AI or EPS formats. Always supply each photo as a graphic format. Embedded photos in another document such as Microsoft Word or Microsoft PowerPoint are often far too low resolution to be used successfully in a printed publication.
Photo Resolution
Photos above 800kb in filesize are fine. Photos between 800kb and 500kb are unlikely to be of a high enough resolution to print successfully. Do not send photos below 500kb.
Naming Conventions
Name all text and photo files with a relevant filename such as XV Rugby_01.jpg – not DSC7761.jpg. OR place in a clearly named folder such as XV Rugby.
Captions
If a photo is to be captioned in the yearbook – name the photo with the required caption text, e.g. ‘Sarah Smith wins gold at the International Debating Championships.jpg’.
Microsoft Publisher files (’.pub’ files).
Sending Material
The preferred method for all data transfer is via Dropbox.
