The "Save As Template" feature can be a life saving aid when creating your yearbook pages quickly and efficiently. If you have a favourite template or background you'd like to save for later use on another page the "Save As Template" function can help. You can also, now, edit your saved templates as you wish faster and easier within the page designer. Follow these simple steps to save your page as a template and edit:
Save Your Created Template
You've created your own personal template you like or found something favourable from our gallery collection, and you want to use it on more than one page. Here's an example of a finished template:
- Make sure you save your template on your page. The "Save As Template" function will not work unless your page is saved.
- From your save drop down menu, click the option "Save As Template".
A pop up window will appear. You can save a single or double page spread. In the instructions follow the steps when saving a template.
- Step 1: Select page to make into a template, then choose to create a single or double page spread.
- Step 2: Name your template.
- Step 3: Click the "Save Template" button.
You can see a quick preview of your saved template in the "Current Templates" section. You can also delete your saved templates if you choose. Just below your saved template click the link "Delete Template" to delete any unwanted templates.
- Access your saved templates by clicking the "Custom" button.
- Select your saved template and choose to place on the Left or Right page.
Once you place the template onto your page you can continue to personalise it. You now have a template to use on as many pages you choose!
Note: When naming your template: if you give it the same name as a previous template it will override the first saved template.
Editing Your Saved Template
In your saved templates there's a new option to edit them. Hover your mouse over a template you wish to edit and click the "Edit" button.
A page will open where you can make whatever changes you like and customize. Notice at the top-left you will see you are no longer within your yearbook pages, but in 'Edit Template' mode. Once you are satisfied with your changes you can save your template. You can now use your newly edited template on your pages.
